Employers

LATA offers a unique, flexible, low risk and low cost way to employ junior staff and gain exclusive benefits from becoming a Host Company. Our services are simple, efficient, cost effective and responsive. When you become a LATA Host Company you define the role and specific skills/training required. From the information collected we will pre-screen and interview to create a quality pool of candidates and provide you with a shortlist for your job role. We will set up and deliver all government-funded training so you don't need to, and provide the apprentice with any support they may require. The apprentice will be employed by ourselves, leaving you to simply host them, eliminating the need for to manage the Payroll, Tax and National Insurance.

To ensure all LATA Apprentices are working in a safe environment we will conduct a user-friendly health and safety work place review with every employer before taking on an Apprentice. This assessment will both enable us to fulfil our safety obligations to the Apprentice and to you in terms of a useful cross-check of your own policies and procedures. LATA will undertake an initial Health & Safety questionnaire with you for the role before the responses are reviewed and any guidance and suggestions given. For higher risk job roles we will organise an expert visit (at cost). LATA will then continue to organise a health and safety briefing. Health & Safety reviews are required to be updated every 2 years.

LATA is recognised by the Learning Skills Council and the National Apprenticeship Service. Each of these stakeholders are keen to recognise the role that employers take in up-skilling the workforce. LATA will promote Host Companies through the website and offer an opportunity to include your company in local and national press features. Your company will also receive offers to be included in media campaigns, submissions and the use of logo's in LATA's marketing materials.

To become a Host Company with LATA there is an annual membership fee of £150 which entitles you to the exclusive benefits of becoming a LATA Host Company. For labour hire, we offer £150. This is based upon 37 hours a week. Payments for this will be taken on a weekly, fornightly or monthly basis as agreed within the initial agreement.

LATA will identify any funding you may be entitled to, to support the employment of your Apprentice. There are benefits available dependant upon the amount of Apprentices you hire within the calendar year.

When you agree to employ a LATA Apprentice you will be given our terms and conditions. The terms and conditions includes information on Leave, Service Fees, Provision of a job decsription, Safety in the workplace, Insurance, Payment arrangements, Payroll, Training arrangements and Terminations.
